Primary school students in City of Banja Luka participated in the Award Ceremony organised by Dogs Trust Representative Office on May 10th 2018, in Primary school „Branko Radicevic” in Banja Luka for the competition „My Dog, My Responsibility“.
As part of the competition, children produced short creative home videos showing knowledge gained in Dogs Trust educational workshops.
Ten primary schools participated in the competition showing excellent knowledge on responsible dog ownership!
First place was awarded to the Primary School „Ivo Andric”, which will receive equipment for a multimedia classroom, including a computer with speakers, projector, projector screen and a whiteboard.
The second place winner was the Primary School „Aleksa Santic”, which will receive a computer, speakers and a video camera.
Third place and a computer with speakers was awarded to the Primary School „Cirilo i Metodije”!
During the ceremony, representatives of winning teams received symbolic vouchers while their valuable awards will be delivered directly to their schools. All participating children received Dogs Trust goodie bags.
Dogs Trust Education Programme is implemented, with the approval of the Ministry of Education and Culture of Republic of Srpska, in partnership with the City of Banja Luka and in cooperation with the Association „Koliba” in the City of Banja Luka, Romania-Zvornik Region since 2015., and starting 2018 in the wider Banja Luka region and all municipalities of East Sarajevo.
Dogs Trust Representative Office provides substantial support to local authorities in the implementation of the state Law on Animal Protection and Welfare and establishment of a law-compliant, humane, efficient and sustainable Dog Population Management System through various Programmes it designs, coordinates and supports in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The Education Programme represents an investment in children’s safety today, and in their future tomorrow, because, as educated citizens, they can prevent this problem from recurring.
