Coat: Black and white. It sheds moderately and needs to be thoroughly brushed/combed once a week.

Relationship with adults and children: Archie is good with adults and with children of all ages.

What type of family would suit Archie?

Archie is a young dog, fast and a bit impatient. He is intelligent and will do anything for a treat, which means he will also learn quickly. His favorite treat is figs. He knows his name and comes when called, but it needs a little more work. He is mostly good on a leash and does not pull. He resents having his paws washed. The best family or owner for him should continue to train hard with him to fulfill his full potential and become a truly fantastic dog. He can stay alone at home for up to four hours. Archie likes to have his own place and sleeps in it at night. He is relaxed while driving and at the vet. Archie is an active dog, so a family that is inactive would not suit him. He is generally good with children and adults, so he can be in a home with or without children.
