Dogs Trust Representative Office organised an event for all current and future dog owners, children, parents and dog lovers on Tuesday, July 3
rd at Vilson’s Lane in Sarajevo.
Dogs Trust CEO Adrian Burder and Board Member Clarissa Baldwin officially opened the Dogs Trust Fostering Programme in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Everyone was delighted to meet the Fostering team, including the Dogs Trust Fostering coordinator Amer Talic, Fostering volunteers Tanja Dozo and Hana Musovic, and the star of the event, Teo, first abandoned dog who will be rehomed through the new Programme.
Guests had the opportunity to see all the creative and fun photographs dog owners submitted for the Look-a-like photo competition organised in May. Owners of the 20 best photographs received valuable awards including the Dogs Trust summer gift bag, a framed caricature of their photo, as well as a voucher for 10 convertible marks for the first public dog wash “Paws and shampoo” donated by Dogs Trust friends at Energopetrol and Holdina d.o.o.
Dogs Trust Education Officers held workshops for children at the event’s Kids Corner, where our youngest visitors learned how to be safe with dogs and received summer gifts including our new Dogs Trust Retro Kids Set which includes games their parents and older generations used to play as children. Dogs Trust Retro Kids Set motivates children to play together outside, and includes instructions and gear for playing jump rope, marbles, hopscotch, elastics and card games.
All guests received a Dogs Trust summer gift bag, as well as the first edition of the magazine “Cukica”, which will be published twice a year by the Representative Office. The magazine has useful and interesting articles for owners and dog lovers, as well as parents and children and all of those interested in a law-compliant, permanent and humane solution to the problem of stray dogs.
Dogs Trust summer gift bag for dog owners includes: Dogs Trust beach towel, Bluetooth speaker, beach ball, t-shirt, cap, dog pillow, seatbelt attachment, harness, lead, collar, bandanna, regular and portable dog bowls, squeaky toy, blanket, carseat cover, and toy box.
