Through a valuable donation, Dogs Trust Foundation continuously supports the improvement of dogs’ well-being through cooperation with the ministry of defence and the Armed Forces of BiH

On Tuesday, 12 December 2024, at a formal reception at the Army Hall in Sarajevo, Dogs Trust Foundation presented the representatives of the Ministry of Defense of BiH with a donation in the form of equipment and other supplies to support the improvement of well-being of dogs living in the barracks of the BiH Armed Forces throughout BiH, as well as their performance dogs. 

A donation worth about 40,000 convertible marks was handed over in accordance with the second Memorandum of Cooperation signed in May this year between the Dogs Trust Foundation and the Ministry of Defense of BiH. 


The ceremony was attended by the senior executives of Dogs Trust Foundation from the United Kingdom, including Chief Executive Owen Sharp, the representatives of Dogs Trust Foundation BiH, Deputy Minister of Defense of BiH, Mr. Slaven Galić, representatives of the joint headquarters of the Ministry of Defense and the Armed Forces, representatives of the Armed Forces working in the demining platoon, and Major Adis Arnautović, who leads the cooperation with Dogs Trust Foundation on behalf of the Ministry and the Armed Forces. 


On this occasion, Major Arnautović presented to the attendees the ways and results of the cooperation so far, while Mr. Galić expressed his words of gratitude for this support, and the Dogs Trust representatives expressed their satisfaction with the cooperation and explained to the attendees the importance of working on the improvement of well-being of all dogs, taking into account that this is an animal that is known as "man's best friend" for a reason, and that dogs that have to live without the much-needed care of their owners were abandoned due to the irresponsibility of people and not because they chose it themselves.
