An interesting trio, two UK vets and their lovely dog Peggy, visited Dogs Trust Bosnia recently. What is fun about them is that in October 2021, they started an expedition ‘The Overlanding Ambulance’ set off from Liverpool, UK and heading East in a Land Rover Defender Ambulance to attempt the Guinness World Record for the ‘Longest Journey in an Ambulance’.
The team is made up of Rachel Nixon, Lawrence Dodi and Peggy, the travel spaniel. They are both veterinary surgeons who are undertaking this adventure at their own expense with the goal of raising money and attention for two charities that are close to both of them, Anthony Nolan and Vetlife.
