Dogs Trust Competition: My Dog and I – Two Best Friends! Award Ceremony: Sarajevo, Thursday, November 28th 2019. Who can apply? The competition is open for dog owners who meet all the following criteria:

Live in Canton Sarajevo or have successfully completed training at Dogs Trust Dog School in Canton 10 or Banja Luka;
Will commit to attending the Dogs Trust event in Sarajevo on November 28th, at which the winners of the competition will be announced;
Film their videos keeping in mind the Dogs Trust guidelines for taking photographs or videos of dogs, available at the end of this document.

Award Ceremony: November 28th 2019., from 18:00 – 20:00h, Vilsonovo setaliste stage next to cafe Tito and History Museum. Winners will be announced at the event and only those present at the event will be able to receive valuable awards.

Winners will receive valuable awards, including Puzzle Bowls! All participants who confirm their attendance will receive useful gifts, including those branded with the event name „Moj pas i ja – prava drugara dva.“

The assignment Produce a short home video on one, or both of the following topics:

Notice: we expect you to show us and explain how your character fits with the character and needs of your dog. What makes you compatible?

Tricks my dog has learned using positive motivation-based training!

Notice: show us your accomplishments and tricks that your dog has learned using positive motivation-based training from Dogs Trust Dog School. Every dog owner can send in one video clip lasting from 30 to 60 seconds. Your creative home video can be a compilation of photos, videos, audio and written messages. Your video can cover one or both assigned topics.

Send us your videos via WeTransfer to [email protected] no later than November 10th, 2019.
Your video must contain the title of the competition „Moj pas i ja – prava drugara dva“, your first and last name, name of your dog and your phone number.

You do not have to be an expert video producer! We advise you to use simple programmes, such as PowerDirector, YouCut, etc., which are available for free on your mobile phones. Approval for use of videos By participating in the competition and sending us your video you agree to allow Dogs Trust Representative Office to use your video for promotion of the competition and event „Moj pas i ja – prava drugara dva!“, promotion of responsible dog ownership, positive motivation based dog training, rehoming and Dogs Trust Programmes in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Choosing the winners The winners will be chosen by you! All videos will be published on the Facebook fan page of Predstavništvo Fondacije Dogs Trust u BiH – the number of likes on our Facebook page will determine the winners. Likes will be counted from November 11th until November 18^th, 2019. Dogs Trust guidelines for taking photographs or videos of dogs No dog genitalia (including nipples) on display,

Dogs should be wearing a collar and lead at all times, especially in public (while training the dog in public, you must use a long training lead),
No photos of dogs behind bars,
Make sure eyes are clear and free from abnormalities,
No dogs licking human’s faces,
Balls must be an appropriate size compared to the dog, i.e. no small balls with large dogs due to a choking hazard,
No woollen toys in dog’s mouth,
No outfits, hats or glasses. Small bandannas or items attached to collars are fine,
No dog’s head hanging out of a window,
Only small dogs to travel in bicycle baskets if secure,
No dogs under the covers in a human bed,
No plants being chewed or played with, but fine in shot,
No dogs to be photographed with food made for human consumption including toxic food i.e. grapes, chocolate or pancakes,
No dogs jumping off equipment that is too high,
Avoid photos/videos where dogs who their teeth or whites of eyes,
Avoid photos/videos where dogs have their tails between legs, and/or ears back,
Avoid photos/videos of dogs backing away from others,
Avoid photos/videos of person's and dog's head being too close making the dog look uncomfortable.

Children and dogs – what to avoid:

Children under the age of 13 should not be seen to be holding the lead or walking the dog on their own. An adult should be holding the lead.
Children under 13 should not be photographed alone with a dog. An adult should be present or at least in the background of the picture.
Avoid children sitting on dogs or having their heads too close to a dog's head.
